Day 2: Stillness Precedes Clarity

Psalm 46:10

“Be still, and know that I am God.”

Stillness isn't just about silence—it's about surrender. In the quiet, when we lay down our striving and distractions, God meets us with a clarity that the noise of life often drowns out. Surrender always comes before the answers.  Psalm 46:10 is not a suggestion to pause once in a while, but a command to still our souls and remember who God is. When we stop trying to fix, plan, or control everything, we open space for His presence to become clear and undeniable.

True clarity comes when we stop talking and start listening. When was the last time you sat still before God, not with a list of requests, but simply to be with Him? It’s in these moments of quiet trust that we are reminded of His power, His nearness, and His sovereignty over all things. Stillness isn't wasted time—it’s where transformation begins.

Reflection: When was the last time you sat still before God?

Special Challenge: For the next 20 days, take 5 minutes where you sit in complete silence. Not playing worship music in the background, not with your kids making noise nearby or while doing work or chores. Not even while driving! Even in those spaces, your COMPLETE attention isn’t given to God. We are talking about 5 minutes of pure stillness. Build this habit and watch it transform your life!

  • 5 minute of stillness complete

Prayer: Teach me to be still, Lord. Help me release the rush and noise, so I can know You more deeply.
