Day 1: The War for Your Attention
Isaiah 30:21
“Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”
In a world filled with constant noise—notifications, obligations, opinions—it’s easy to miss the still, small voice of God. The battle for your attention isn’t always waged through chaos or crisis; sometimes, it’s in the subtle distractions that quietly pull you away from His presence. It’s small things that pile up to take up all of your time, energy and attention. Isaiah reminds us that even in the midst of life’s choices, God’s voice is there, guiding us.
But we must choose to quiet the competing sounds so we can hear Him. We must choose to learn his voice through reading His Word. How can you learn the voice of God, without knowing His Word? The problem is not that God is silent, the problem is that you have tuned your ears to hear other sounds and drowned out the voice of your Heavenly Father.
Reflection: \What noise do you need to turn down in your life?
Prayer: God, help me hear You clearly. Tune my heart to recognize Your voice above all others.
