Day 17 - Stability Over Speed

Scripture: Proverbs 19:2 - “Desire without knowledge is not good—how much more will hasty feet miss the way!”

Speed feels productive. Stability produces longevity.

Scripture warns against moving quickly without knowledge. Rushing ahead may create motion, but it often weakens foundation. God values steadiness more than pace.

Fast decisions without discernment lead to regret. God slows you down to strengthen wisdom and clarity. Stability keeps you grounded when momentum increases.

Ask yourself honestly: Where am I moving faster than my discernment? God is not impressed by urgency. He is committed to endurance. What lasts is built carefully, not hastily.

Reflection: Where has rushing created unnecessary pressure?

Prayer: God, slow my pace. Ground my decisions in wisdom. Help me value stability over speed.

Practice:

  • Slow down intentionally today. Choose clarity over quickness.

God’s work lasts. Because it is built to stand.
